Dangerous Goods and Prohibited Items

Certain items may not be accepted as checked or carry-on baggage under any circumstances. Mango does not accept any items which are considered by us to be unsuitable for carriage because they are dangerous or unsafe.

You must not include in your baggage any items which are likely to endanger the aircraft or persons or property on board the aircraft, as well as items which are prohibited by applicable laws or regulations. You will be responsible to dispose of such items and Mango may not keep or store such items under any circumstances Please ask us if you are unsure what items are regarded as dangerous. It is considered a criminal offence to make jokes or inappropriate comments regarding the carriage of such articles.

Certain articles are only permitted as carry-on baggage and may not be included in your checked baggage. Click here to see a list of such items.

Below is a list of some of the most common prohibited items. These items may not be accepted as checked baggage, carry-on baggage or on your person under any circumstances. Such items include but are not limited to:

  • Fire arms, ammunition, toy guns
  • Disabling or electronic shock devices such, as but not limited to Pepper sprays and Tasers
  • Flammable, corrosive, explosive, infectious or radioactive substances
  • Pesticides, cleaning detergents or poisons
  • Paints, bleach, thinners, petrol (Please note that oil paints are accepted)
  • Gas cylinders and gas refill for curling brushes
  • Blue flame lighters/ Cigar lighters/ strike anywhere matches
  • Fireworks
  • Oxygen bottle carried on board for personal use (unless it is FAA approved)
  • Any small vehicles powered by lithium batteries, such as air wheels, solo wheels, balance wheels, hover boards or mini Segways
